PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Individuals and their abilities, talents, interests, skills and knowledge are Tigar's priority resources. Each employee is seen as a foremost asset and Tigar is committed to advancing his or her knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. In line with our strategic objectives, the corporation actively participates in the planning of employees' career development.

Perpetual challenges and growing market demands require from all of us at Tigar to be highly professional and to maintain a high level of expertise in all our areas of activity. This objective shared by the corporation and our employees is achieved through investment in professional and personal advancement of each individual.

Every year we conduct more than 1400 trainings under annual training and specialization programs in a dozen categories, such that each employee attends at least one training course per year. It is also customary at Tigar to ensure that our employees attend specialized courses and events both elsewhere in the country and abroad, where they acquire new knowledge and skills, learn and perfect foreign languages, participate in workshops and trade shows, attend postgraduate studies, and the like.

Tigar began offering student grants and loans back in 1959; more than 80% of our current employees who hold graduate and postgraduate degrees have availed themselves of this opportunity.

UNSWERVING CONCERN FOR OUR EMPLOYEES
Tigar Corporation continually monitors and responds to our employees' needs.

Employees have permanent access to a team of experts who are at their disposal to provide psychosocial support in the workplace or family and help address any personal issues which might be detrimental to optimal performance.

If health care or rehabilitation is needed, Tigar's Occupational Medicine Department is always there to locate the right place or make arrangements for groups of employees to visit one of Serbia's famous health spas to recover or obtain treatment.

One of the key aspects of improving employee satisfaction is the provision of suitable housing. Since 1964, under a special housing program, we have built two Tigar Residential Estates, locally referred to as "old" and "new", comprised of some 1200 housing units.

STUDENT GRANTS AND LOANS
Tigar Corporation is following a long-term policy of acquiring human resources through student loans granted to top high school students who intend to pursue their careers in process engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, economics, law and other disciplines required by Tigar. Today, some fifty students are receiving this kind of support from Tigar. Additionally, they have at their disposal Tigar’s laboratories, libraries and future colleagues. As a rule, successful students continue to develop their careers with us. Our organization’s stability and its expansion both in the country and abroad are motivating and challenging to them, as is the opportunity to fulfill their professional ambitions.

INTERNSHIPS
Our corporation is open to students who wish to acquire their initial professional experience guided by top specialists in an environment of cutting-edge technologies. We also participate in the education of high school students on an ongoing basis. Schools from our extended community send their students to Tigar for hands-on training under carefully thought-out programs supervised by Tigar’s mentors who are highly experienced specialists from different organizational units.

Vision

To operate as a corporation which respects the dignity and integrity of its members and partners, and truly contributes to sustainable development.
