The story of Tigar began back in 1935 with the establishment of a small workshop producing rubber goods and rubber footwear. Quality, a diverse product range, and dedication contributed to the continued growth and development of our company.
In 1966, the Technical Rubber Factory was established, followed by the Adhesives Factory in 1988. In 1995, Tigar’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001) was certified for the first time by the then Federal Standardization Institute.
In the years that followed, the existing management system was further developed through the introduction and certification of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) in 2003, followed by the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001) in 2010. We remain committed to maintaining and continuously improving our integrated management systems.
The journey from a small workshop producing traditional rubber footwear to the company Tigar a.d. is today has been marked by numerous structural, organizational, and ownership changes.
In 2015, the production entities Footwear, Technical Rubber, and Chemical Products were merged into the parent company, Tigar a.d. The beginning of 2016 was marked by the opening of a newly built rubber compound production facility.
Today, Tigar a.d. is a regional leader in the production of rubber footwear and a renowned manufacturer of technical rubber goods and chemical products.
